35 years on, a new brand.
In September 2011, Australian Gift & Homewares Association – AGHA – revealed a fresh new visual identity and slogan. As an industry association, AGHA has a proud and constructive 35 year heritage of helping and advising over 3,000 members.
It is the objective of AGHA going forward to deliver, not only a new brand identity, but more importantly, a new attitude aimed at improving and expanding our current services to all our members in ways that answer today’s challenges.
A new attitude.
It’s clear we have to do more than deliver the fresh new logo and snappy slogan you see on our website.
And we will.
We will approach these objectives with careful planning, research, consultation and feedback from our members.
We also have a range of very clear core values to deliver on.
Values which will improve not only the substance of our services, but how they will be delivered.
Ideas: We will explore opportunities to source and showcase new products, forecast industry patterns and identify new trends.
Vibrance: We will deliver all of our services with passion and energy, connecting like-minded people through social and informative forums, guiding them in areas such as visual merchandising.
Advice: We will provide essential information for planning, starting or growing a business through practical education programs, and find ways to bridge the gap between members and industry experts.
Inspiration: We will lead the search in discovering new designers and products through social media, help members access national and international gift and homewares trade fairs, share real life experiences of industry peers and expand online business-to-business opportunities.
Vision: We will build platforms around industry awareness and forward thinking to assist businesses in fulfilling their aspirations. We will develop a real partnership mentality with our members. Finally, we will identify and respond as a collective to the big issues.
Inform: We will distribute regular newsletters with relevant and thought-provoking articles. We will communicate via the best and latest media channels. We will conduct independent surveys for industry benchmarking.
Belong: As a member of AGHA you are part of a vast industry network that will keep you informed, provide experienced advice and help you stay in touch with the rapidly shifting conditions and opportunities in the gift and homewares industry.
We don’t view any of our values as a given. They will be embraced and implemented with care and passion and their success will be measured and well earned.
In short, we will work towards better outcomes for our members, in both their business and their personal lives.
We can’t predict the future, but we can and will help our members deal with it by improving what we do and how we do it.
